The Consistory
The Consistory is the name of our church board and is comprised of the pastor, Elders, and Deacons. The Pastor carries out much of the teaching and administration on Sundays and during the week. Elders give spiritual oversight and encouragement to the pastor and church at large. Deacons offer encouragement for physical needs and concerns in our church and to our members.
The Consistory meets 8 to 10 times a year. The meetings consist of a review of plans and activities scheduled by the church, a review of membership to discern any needs we might address, a report from the pastor, and a review of the most recent monthly financial report.
The Consistory also organizes the business for the annual congregational meeting in November. This meeting primarily consists of the nomination of new members to replace those who are retiring and the presentation of a budget proposal for the next year.
The Consistory also seeks to highlight important upcoming events.
